| Solar energy comes from one common source that all of us are familiar with, which is the Sun. It is in the form of radiated heat and light. Solar power can be defined as the conversion from solar energy into electricity by photovoltaic. Multiple advantages can be seen in the solar energy. One of them is, the solar energy is a renewable source. It is different from fossil fuel which needs to wait for thousands of years to develop whereas the solar energy will always be there to be used. There is no need to be worried; as long as the sun is still around, the solar energy will never be lost. By using solar energy, air pollution will definitely decrease. This is because the solar energy does not release any hazardous gases when used. This is in contrast with the fuel. Burning fuels to generate electricity will release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that is dangerous not only for our health, but to the Earth as well. The solar energy is eco-friendly. The solar panel does not produce any pollutant when collecting the sunlight to be converted into electricity, but of course with a price. The solar power can be used to power up home appliances such as the water heater, battery chargers, and refrigerator and so on. The government sees solar energy as a valuable resource and has been investing a large sum of money in the exploration of finding new usage of the solar energy to take over fossil fuel. We can see the application of the solar energy in our daily lives as a long term investment. By purchasing a solar panel that is able to generate its own electricity, we can save a large sum of money in times to come compared to the fossil fuel generated electricity which can be costly. |
